Letter to Local Dairy Farmers from a Fuel Up to Play 60 Student

Dear New England Dairy Farmers,

First of all, thank you for being a farmer. Farming is not something that everyone can do, and the fact that you have invested your life into a job so helpful, providing, and fulfilling is inspiring to me, and many others.

I would like to thank you with my whole heart for your contributions to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Without you, I would not have been able to have the experience or training that I now have to go into Sports and Health Communications next year in college.

Through this program, I have been exposed to amazing experiences, such as attending the National Summit for six years, visiting a commercial dairy farm, and visiting the Land O’Lakes Headquarters in Minnesota. I have also met amazing people, like Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Land O’Lakes CEO Chris Policinski, former Panthers Wide Receiver Steve Smith, as well as many other influential students and teachers from across the nation. Locally, I have been able to lead and inspire students through regional summits, and I have spoken about the power of student voice and student engagement. All of these experiences, and many more that have not been mentioned, would not be possible without your support.

Your investment in me, and in the students of the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, does not go unnoticed. We will be forever grateful for the opportunities you have given us, and the differences you’ve made in our lives.

You have not only impacted students in schools across New England, but also nationwide because of the tools you’ve given us for success. We cannot thank you enough for believing that we, the students, are the leaders of today, and for the endless support you have given us through all of our Fuel Up to Play 60 journeys.

So again, I thank you for everything that you have given me and my peers throughout my six year run with this program, and I do hope that you continue to support these students in their valiant efforts to make a difference in their schools, communities, and nationwide.

Yours in Health,

Jaclyn
