Have you been waiting for the right opportunity to give to The Great American Milk Drive? We have two upcoming events that give to this good cause and give you something in return. Next weekend, September 13th and 14th, offers some fun activities for those in the Greater Boston area: MixFest and the Boston Local Food Festival. Here’s a sneak peak:
MixFest is a free concert hosted by Boston’s best variety radio station, 104.1. This year’s concert is on September 13th, located in Boston’s historic Hatch Shell which offers beautiful views of the Charles River. The concert will feature Phillip Phillips, O.A.R., Christina Perri, MAGIC!, and The Great American Milk Drive. No, The Great American Milk Drive will not be a performer at the event. However, we thought this would be a great way to talk about Hunger Action Month and The Great American Milk Drive with some new people. The organizers of MixFest thought so too and will be offering a chance for concert-goers who visit our Great American Milk Drive booth and donate $25 or more onsite to The Great American Milk Drive to go backstage to meet the performing artists.
What might get you backstage at MixFest Boston? Must Be The Milk! MixFest is coming up at the Hatch Shell in Boston on Saturday, September 13th
The Boston Local Food Festival will be held on Sunday, September 14th.
Attending the MixFest concert will be really tough to beat, but fortunately, the fun late summer weekend events continue with the Boston Local Food Festival on the beautiful Rose Kennedy Greenway starting on Sunday morning at 11:00 AM. This event offers us a chance to connect with people interested in local food to share the stories of local dairy farmers and to invite them to contribute to The Great American Milk Drive. We will be collecting donations onsite to benefit our partner, The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Hope you can make it to MixFest and the Boston Local Food Festival to enjoy some late summer fun and show support for The Great American Milk Drive. The countdown is on!
