Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
We wanted to join in on the celebration, so we created the 3.14 Fruit Pie!

Ingredients:
2 pounds of pears and apples, cored, seeded, and chopped into 1/2-inch chucks
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp. +1 tsp. corn starch
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 plain Greek yogurt, plus additional for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a bowl, combine the corn starch with half of the brown sugar. Stir in the fruit and mix to coat. Transfer the fruit mixture to a pie dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over fruit.
Bake the pie for 20-25 minutes. Cool. Serve over Greek yogurt.
