“We do rotational grazing, which means that cows, after milking, get to go to a new section of pasture to lay down and relax,” explains Margaret Hanson, a fourth-generation dairy farmer. In the spring, spectators go to the Hanson Dairy Farm in Massachusetts to watch cows enjoy fresh grass and sunshine after being in the barn all winter. Dave Hanson takes pride in quality dairy farming, and likes the freedom that goes along with it.
